**Edit to previous reply**

Wow Daniel, it is always such a blessing to hear stories of how God is using the people in our lives, especially our families, to help us grow in our relationship with Him. I am so encouraged to hear how your wife is helping you to become a more "godlier" man. I hope you will continue to spur one another on toward love and good deeds (Heb. 10:24).
It is also amazing to see how God uses extraordinary circumstances as a catalyst to worship Him. I will be praying for you and your family.

I spend a lot of quality time with my kids, but I feel that I've had problems really talking and connecting with them about the Bible and God. Well my lovely wife Priscilla always challenges me to read the Bible with them and talk to them about God's words, especially before they go to bed. So I've been doing that more and more these days. The best time I had trying to get them closer to God is when the power went out on Friday in our neighborhood. So we let some candles and I grabbed my guitar and we had a small worship service in our dark, quiet livingroom. The kids prayed together with me and we had a very meaningful time praying to and worshipping Jesus.
I really owe this to my wife, who knows and understands the importance of a good relationship with the Lord. I think on many occasions the Lord has used her to help me refocus on what's really important in life.
